Greetings nice people,

As a few (or many) of you know and as many (or a few) of you supposed, I've been fiddling with old ideas for quiet some times. I'm stil trying to go through the process of writting a book. I'm hoping I'll may bring that one to an end and/or multiples volumes to have the story go on.
That's a non-Star Wars project this time and that probably won't be a novel. Rather an encyclpedia of the future. I will in this encyclopedia detail various articles about various subject in order to describe the settings and the events occuring during a few millenias (more or less 17, some might be more devellopped than others).

I'm just in the very first steps of writting and thinking but I see I will need illustrations for my Encyclopedia. So I'm wondering if any of the illustrators here want or know someone interested in helping me by develloping a visual of that project.

I'd like to stress out that this is for now a project that may or may not see an end. If it does see an end and if I'll consider it positively I may try to have it released in shops WITH the illustartions.

So... anyone interested?

Well first off mate, I gotta say "GOOD LUCK!" with the project.

I've been writing a novel for over 8 years now and I'm only 6 chapters (and half a wikia database) into it.

I'll help out however I can, though as you've probably noticed I've usually got a fair bit on so it might be a little while before I can dedicate some time to it.

I was giving some serious consideration to creating a "non-starwars" art/literature section for this site actually, because I could do with putting my book up for people to read and give feedback and I suspect other people have lots of non-sw goodies they'd like to share as well. I've not done so because this is primairly a SW site but if people would have enough of an interest in such a thing I'll sort it out.

Soude - don't know if this will help you or not, but you could create yourself a free wikia to make an encyclopia that you can reference (and people can add to of course)

That's what I did with the novel I am writing entitled The Darkest Knight (Name made well before a certain Christopher Nolan film, btw), working out the places the characters come from, the cultural differences and the "feel" for the world really helped me.

I've been thinking about the wikia long ago. My current thinking was to actually write the novel in a Encyclopedic way. I like the idea to have the reader wander in the different articles. I believe every reader would have his own path in through the book and it would require more work than just read through a book. I don't want to write those kind of books that you pick up, read, shut and then leave on a shelf for decades. I want the reader to think, imagine... I want it to be 'kind of' interactive... therefore comes the idea of an Encyclopedia.

An encyclopedia also allows you to bring pictures, images... Imagine an article about... Student riots on Kordia VII, with a huge picture of the students facing the soldiers of the Galactic Consortium...

THAT would be awesome. I'm sure I can pull some great writtings but not good enough pictures to get along. I don't wanna fall into big words but if that project works, it will be the masterpiece of my life!

I like those sorts of things. Ideas about the future that relate to current knowledge of science and pathways. For instance, where will the United States be in a ten thousand years? Will it remain an independent part of Earth (as it is quite an outspoken and strong nation) or will it have become lost in time to become only a myth (think the Roman Empire, huge, but crumbled eventually). Furthermore, what will humanity have invented in those years? What worlds will it have colonized? All very interesting Once again, good luck!
