| If some Dungeons & Dragons fan would be interested - Dungeons&Dragons online by Turbine was made free to play. I don't know If it will be forever, because until now it was paid. But the promotion is called Unlimited free play. So If someone wants to try it click here. HUD looks a little bit chaotic, but I think that gameplay is fine and comes with very good and realistic D&D feel. Exceptionally dungeons, they are great. I just downloaded it today so If someone would start to play, we can do so together in groups |

I've got the Eberron Campaign setting (pen and paper) at home, its quite interesting actually, its not quite classical D&D although it does have many of the core elements, it shakes it up a bit and it kinda like D&D meets Final Fantasy. |
What kind of Campagin setteing are you using on D&D Forgotten Realms, Eberron or something else |

| I'm a big fan of Forgotten Realms (The Baldurs Gate series, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights,) but Eberron is as rich and detailed as FR and is exceptionally fun to play. In fact, looking at this video I could be easily convinced to play - the voice acting on the little cockney halfling thief is excellent |

| @ Dugo (and anyone else interested)
I downloaded this and gave it a play. Even on the "free version" its good fun. Although they're not being totally honest about the "completely free" part.
Yes, you don't have to pay to play, and yes its great even as a free game.... however:
2 Races (out of 6) are locked and you need to purchase them if you want to play them.
3 classes (out of 15) are lcoked and its the same thing.
The level cap is 20, and you can only go up to lvl 4 without paying to unlock more HOWEVER this is not as bad as it sounds, as each level has 4 ranks, so you need to complete all 4 before going up to lvl 2, for example.
So although the game only has 20 "Levels", in relation to normal MMOs, it has 80 (20 lvls x 4 ranks). Also, with the free version that means you get 16 "normal mmo levles" which isnt bad.
It uses the same engine as Lotro, but in my opinion the quests are more fun and the VO on some of the characters are good (my personal fav is the cockney rogue).
In the same way as Lotro, it also shows you at character creation how easy each class is to solo (from Excellent, Very Good, Good, Challenging and Expert Only) and has a really nice feature where when you start any instance, you have a choice to do it solo (should you want) and it alters the levels and amount of enemies accordingly.
I think, but don't know for sure (not tried it yet) that you can hire NPCs to come with you on quests if other players arent about.
As a pay-to-play game its good, and has a lot of potential, the combat system is a bit more refined and seems more action-based, and it has all the depth of all D&D games.
For a Freebie, its bloody awesome. I can imagine it would be a great way to all play together if you all wanna try grouping.
There are 3 downloads available, I went for the 2gig version (the middle option) and its plays really nicely, even under dx10 (it is dx9.0c compatible though).
I'd rate it
Gameplay 8/10 Graphics 7/10 Quests 7/10 Combat 7/10
Overall 7/10
(to put this in context of my own personal ratings...
D&D - 7/10 Lotro - 5/10 Wow - 8/10 Conan - 7/10 EVE - 3/10 CO - 6/10 ) |

| Well..you can earn points for unlocking things even ingame, so when you're patient, you can obtain them even without paying. And btw, my characters name is Murloch so maybe we'll be able to meet in-game. |
